SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION - WEEKEND PREVIEW

Hertford Town's convincing midweek victory over table topper's London Colney really set the cat among the pigeons in the SSMFL Premier Division title race. As you can see from the below Hertford Town were seventeen points below London Colney on Saturday 5th November and have now closed the gap to just five with two games in hand. Tommy Wade, already a fan's favourite adored by the Hertford Town faithful, cemented his status by jumping in The Stable End and being showered with beer to celebrate his goal - this was proper football in front of good crowd of 276.
