Barking are still the team to beat in the Essex Senior League with a gap of four points between them and second placed Takeley along with a number of games in hand over all of the teams in the table aside from FC Romania (9th) and Sporting Bengal United who are currently bottom of the table. Barking welcome Basildon United to Mayesbrook Park this weekend with Takeley at home also to Haringey and Waltham Development. Special mention must go to Southend Manor in third place who are having their best season since 2011/12 when they finished runner's up to Witham Town - In the 22 games they have played so far they have got more points than they achieved over the past three seasons (27, 31 and 41).

Sporting Bengal could move off of bottom spot with a victory at Stansted as Burnham Ramblers above them in the table are not in action. Eton Manor will be without their top scorer Josh Sykes in their trip to Hullbridge Sports - He scored an incredible 23 goals in 21(1) appearances for Manor which attracted the attention of Ryman Division One (North) side Heybridge Swifts whom he joined this week. He made his debut for his new club coming off the bench in their 1-2 away victory at Bury Town on Tuesday evening - Expect him to start firing in the goals for The Swifts in the coming weeks.

Enfield 1893 FC have come into some good form of late winning four of their last six games - they lead in their game at home to Clapton last Saturday up until 90+ minutes when the East London side got two goals via James Steer and Fahad Nyanja in front of a crowd of 110 people. Their next game is at Ilford on Saturday 3rd December.
