New club AFC Oaklands currently lead Division One of the Hertfordshire Senior County League but only by goal difference to FC Lemsford and Bengeo Trinity who are closely followed by Sun Sports Reserves and Hinton.

The only side left unbeaten is FC Lemsford who will go top of the table should they win or draw the game in hand they have on AFC Oaklands.

At the bottom of the table Lings Elite have played eight league games so far and have lost all of them - they face a home game against another new club in Stevenage Community on Saturday.

In the race for the Division's golden boot it's Matthew Langley of Hinton who leads the way with an incredible 17 goals in only 7 games played - this includes a hat-trick in the 2-7 away win at Premier Division Wormley Rovers in the Aubery Cup and a double hat-trick in the 3-10 win at AFC Hatfield - it's amounts at present to 2.43 goals per game.

Stefan Saywell, AFC Hatfield's record top scorer, has scored 10 goals in 9 games which is impressive considering they are struggling down in 14th place on only two wins in eight games.

There are some good games coming up in the forthcoming weeks including two free scoring sides in Hinton (5th) v AFC Oaklands (1st) this Saturday and Bengeo Trinty (3rd) v FC Lemsford (2nd) next Saturday 15th October.
