GOOD PRE-SEASON VICTORY FOR WARE AGAINST YOUNG DAGGER'S SIDE

THERE WERE A GOOD NUMBER OF DAGENHAM SUPPORTERS IN THE CROWD AT WODSON PARK LAST
Ware manager Ken Charlery will have been pleased with the performance his side put in against a youthful Dagenham and Redbridge side at Wodson Park last night. The Daggers did include Jakub Berkowicz and Jimmy Shepherd who have recently been handed their first professional contracts by the club. Shepherd spent some time on loan at East Thurrock United and Barkingside last season. Reece Hall-Johnson, a 21 year old, most recently on the books at Norwich City also took part along with the experienced Glenn Southam who came on as a second half substitution. The midfielder who played over 200 times for The Daggers from 2004 to 2009 played for Farnborough last season and was with Sutton United for some of the 2014/15 campaign.

GLEN SOUTHAM PLAYING FOR THE DAGGERS LAST NIGHT
Ware included Brain Haule who scored 20+ goals for Aylesbury FC last season and Jack Chambers-Shaw who was with Cambridge United (as well as on loan with Soham Town Rangers for some of last season) for the last two seasons along with George Essuman who was very good at centre-back. He played for Enfield Town u21's last season as well as scoring in the Isthmian League Cup defeat against Wingate and Finchley in February for The Towners.

Ware were the better side for the first half going in at half time with a 2-0 lead via a good header from Murat Karagul and a good finish from the impressive Gareth Price who was busy holding the ball up and creating chances all through the game. Sam Ling pulled a goal back for The Daggers on 54 minutes before Haule headed home to make it 3-1. Nathan Ralph scored to make it 3-2 on 71 minutes. The home side deserved the victory as they also hit the post during the second half. For a pre-season friendly this was a very entertaining game with both sides playing some good football.
