COULD TEDDY SHERINGHAM PLAY AT HERNS WAY ON WEDNESDAY?

The rumours which have been circulating around local football have been confirmed by League Two side Stevenage FC today as they announced both manager Teddy Sheringham and assistant-manager Kevin Wilson have registered themselves as players ahead of the eagerly anticipated Hertfordshire Senior Cup tie at Welwyn Garden City on Wednesday evening.

Borough are expected to play a mixture of first team and youth players in the game but with a number of injuries to first team squad members and an FA Youth Cup tie played at Aveley on Monday the ex England, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United legend has prompted the management team to put themselves forward.

This could mean a higher than average attendance at Herns Way - If you're local why not come out and maybe watch 49 year old Sheringham in action.
