HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE COLD END

It's been a great 2014 for non-league football with many clubs reporting crowd figure increases as more and more people turn to the beautiful game away from the top divisions to get value for money. Here are some of the best matches The Cold End has captured this year.

I wish you all a very Happy New Year and hope 2015 is a prosperous year for you.

ETON MANOR V CLAPTON - MARCH
An Essex Senior League East London derby game between two famous old teams which featured some fantastic support from The Clapton Ultras.

CRAY WANDERERS V ENFIELD TOWN - APRIL
A huge number of Enfield Town fans made the journey to Cray Wanderers needed a win (or a draw depending on other results) to guarantee Ryman Premier safety on the last day of the season. This day will live long in the memory of the fans present who saw the game.

LEMSFORD V EVERGREEN - MAY
A ten goal thriller from the Hertfordshire Senior County League Division One. A truly amazing game from Step nine of the non-league pyramid.

WHITWELL AFC V BEDMOND SPORTS AND SOCIAL - AUGUST
Bedmond Sports lost most of their Premier Division title winning side from 2013/14 when manager Ashley Purser left to join Hatfield Town in the summer.  They travelled to Whitwell AFC in August who featured Tom Wilshere (brother of Arsenal's Jack) in their side.

ENFIELD TOWN V EASTBOURNE BOROUGH - SEPTEMBER
Arguably the best game that has been played at Donkey Lane since Enfield Town moved into the stadium in 2011 featuring eight goals and a penalty shoot out.
