SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS LEAGUE 2014/15

The constitution of the Spartan South Midlands League for the 2014/15 campaign was finalised and agreed at the league's AGM over the weekend as follows -

13. Kings Langley - Promoted from Division One 
Kings Langley will play in the SSMFL Premier Division (Step 5 of the non-league pyramid) for the first time in their history. They were promoted to the SSMFL from the Hertfordshire Senior County League in 2001.

Like Kings Langley SPS will played at Step 5 for the first time in their history in 2014/15. They were promoted from the Hertfordshire Senior County League in 2003. 
21. Tring Athletic 
22. Wembley - Lateral move from Combined Counties League Premier Division
The Lions make the sensible move across from the Combined Counties League which mainly covers the South-West area of London and surrounding counties. Since relegation from the Isthmian League in 2006 they have finished 3rd, 14th, 17th, 15th, 14th, 10th, 15th and 9th in the Premier Division of the CCL.

7. Bush Hill Rangers - Promoted from the Hertfordshire Senior County League Premier Division 
The SSMFL welcome Bush Hill Rangers who play at Goldsdown Road. They were called 'Goffs Oak' until 2012 and joined the HSCL in 2010 where they finished 1st (Division One), 5th (Premier Division), 5th and 4th.

11. Edgware Town - New 'reformed' club
 It's great to see Edgware Town back in Senior Football. The Cold End wrote about them in May 2014 here. They will play home games at Underhill for the first few months of the season whilst a new 3G pitch is installed at their new home Silver Jubilee Park in Kingsbury.

The SSMFL welocme Clean Slate FC who finished 9th of 11th in the Intermediate League on the North Buckinghamshire and District table last season. It will be a big jump up for the Milton Keynes Christian football club. I'm sure they'll be a welcome addition to the league. 
4. Ealing Town (merger of AFC Hillgate and Aym Higher from Middlesex County League Division Two)
Ealing Town will ground share with the London Tigers at Avenue Park. A club with lot's of ambition looking to make an impact on the league for the 2014/15 season.

The opening day fixtures for Saturday 9th August have been released with just the Premier Division and Division One playing. Division Two clubs will start their campaign at a later date.
