IS THE RACE NOW DOWN TO 1893 AND ROVERS ONLY??

Great Wakering Rover's draw against Basildon United (7th place) and Clapton (6th place) in their last two games and Enfield 1893's current winning run of five games has seen the North London side move back to the top of the table. However, Rovers still have a game in hand which would see them go level on points with the current leaders and with only two goals between them in the goal difference column it's looking very tight at in the race for the title.

Takeley and Tower Hamlets could still get involved with the East London side probably best placed on 35 points from 16 games. Takeley having played two more games than 1893 and three more than Rovers could of lost too many games in their 19 played to make a real challenge. This is the same position for FC Romania who have played 20 games and lost 5.

Great Wakering Rovers play their second game of midweek tonight when they travel to London APSA after losing 1-0 at Clapton on Tuesday night. They then entertain Barking on Saturday before travelling to Hullbridge Sports on Saturday 21st December where they could gain some revenge against their local rivals who knocked them out of the Vase last weekend.

1893 travel to Hullbridge this Saturday before the local derby game at Coles Park against Haringey Borough on Saturday 21st December.

With these difficult games for both sides the league table could have different look over the Christmas period when only one game takes place on the 28th December when Great Wakering Rovers play Haringey Borough.

The league now has a brilliant new website which you can visit here
