The race for the title in the Hertfordshire Senior County League Premier Division looks set to be a real exciting one with Belstone currently leading the way closely followed by Whitwell on goal difference. Sarratt and Standon & Puckeridge are third and fourth by only one point to the top two but if they win their game in hand will go above both Whitwell and Belstone.

If seventh placed Bush Hill Rangers win the three games in hand over they have over the top two they will go one point ahead of them. Both Belstone (4-5 at home) and Whitwell's (1-0 away) only defeats in the league has come against Rangers. They lost their opening two games of the season against Knebworth and Bushey Sports Club but have since won six games in a row including an 8-1 defeat of Division One side Old Parmiterians in the Aubery Cup and a 4-3 penalty kick (after 0-0 draw) win over Bedfont Town (of the Surrey County Intermediate Western Premier Division) in the Middlesex Intermediate Cup on Saturday. New manager Ertan Husseyin has taken over and looks to have continued the good work Tolga Huseyin carried out at the club over the past few seasons.

Sarratt and Standon & Puckeridge look set to be involved in the title race. They have both lost just one game in their first eight games. Sarratt lost against S&P (1-2 at home) with Mill End Sports who are currently 15th of 16 teams recording a surprising 4-1 home win against S&P on Saturday 24th August.

There are not many Premier Division games scheduled over the next month with many teams involved in Hertfordshire Senior Centenary and Anagram Records Trophy action in the forthcoming weeks.
