RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION - POSSIBLE LINE-UP FOR 2012/13

It's a guessing game for TheColdEnd at the moment but here is what I think what the Ryman Premier Division will look like for the 2012/13 season.

Billericay Town and AFC Hornchurch have been promoted to the Blue Square South so will need to be replaced by either two of three teams in the relegation places being Thurrock, Maidenhead United or Hampton & Richmond Borough. This could be wrong as teams could be moved sideways from the Evo-Stik Southern Premier to accommodate other teams and we need to take into account teams in the Blue Sqaure Divisions receiving reprieves which has a domino effect down the non-league ladder.

My money is on Hampton and Richmond Borough and Thurrock but I am a rubbish gambler so what do I know. If these two teams do join the Ryman League it'll probably see Maidenhead United and Hinckley United (bottom three of the Blue Square North) join the Evo Stik Southern Premier bearing in mind Stourbridge, Redditch United, Leamington and Barwell (local rivals to Hinckley) are already in that division.

So here's what TheColdEnd predicts will be the Ryman Premier Division next season -

TEAMPOSN 11/12AVG CROWDMILES*
BOGNOR REGIS TOWN 2nd (D1S) 509 75
BURY TOWN 5th 420 65
CANVEY ISLAND 8th 375 36
CARSHALTON ATHLETIC 16th 251 22
CONCORD RANGERS 14th 190 36
CRAY WANDERERS 9th 191 25
EAST THURROCK UNITED 10th 174 30
ENFIELD TOWN 2nd (D1N) 330 -
HAMPTON AND RICHMOND 21st (BSS) 501 25
HARROW BOROUGH 17th 191 13
HASTINGS UNITED 18th 378 72
HENDON     7th 201 8
KINGSTONIAN 11th 331 22
LEISTON 1st (D1N) 193 92
LEWES         6th 634 60
LOWESTOFT TOWN 3rd 668 110
MARGATE 15th 343 80
MET POLICE 12th 176 25
THURROCK  22nd (BSS) 292 22
WEALDSTONE 4th 502 13
WHITEHAWK 1st (D1S) 125 65
WINGATE AND FINCHLEY 13th 139 7

*miles from Enfield - distances calculated via rac.co.uk/route-planner on 'quickest' route which showed as across London on most routes South... If you use the quickest route (probably around the M25) it'll be a few more miles!

The only problem with the league line up predicted is the Big Bumper Boxing Day and Bank Holiday local derby games. There are some good ones -

Canvey Island v Concord Rangers
East Thurrock United v Thurrock
Leiston v Lowestoft Town
Lewes v Whitehawk
Wealdstone v Harrow Borough
Hastings v Bognor
Kingstonian v Met Police
Cray v Carshalton Athletic
Hendon v Wingate and Finchley

which leaves Margate, Bury Town, Hampton and Richmond Borough and Enfield Town..........The Beveree is not a big distance from Enfield so it's not too bad but Margate having to trek to Bury or vice-versa seems a tad harsh...It may be that Cray play Margate in a Kent derby of sorts and Carshalton Athletic play Hampton and Richmond leaving Enfield Town and Bury Town paired together. I'd prefer to play a more local games against Hendon, Wingate, Wealdstone or Harrow but they, of course, have teams closer to them.

The line-ups for the respective leagues are expected to be be announced in the next few weeks.
