Grays Athletic's defeat at home to Great Wakering Rovers on Wednesday night has seemingly put their narrow chance of a play-off place to an end as they can only now get a possible points total of 66 should they win all their remaining five games.

At The Mill Field it was Tyler Campbell who was Waltham Abbey's hero scoring the winner a minute into added time in a 2-3 win against Romford who now can get a possible points total of 70. Since Romford's 2-0 win against Enfield Town on the 19th March they have drawn one and now lost three games in a row.

Wingate and Finchley secured a vital win at Thamesmead Town with Smith and Jones on target in a 0-3 victory. Leon Smith with a brace and Lewis Jones hit the back of the net for Dave Norman's side who now move back into the top five.

The pick of the weekend's fixtures comes at Rookery Hill in which a victory for East Thurrock United will go a long way to securing them the title whereas if Needham Market win will put the Championship race firmly back on between the two sides.

The other fixtures involving teams in the mix for the play-offs see's third place Brentwood Town travelling to Romford for a local derby. Will The Boro make it four defeats on the spin??

Harlow Town entertain Tilbury at Barrows Farm with The Docker's unbeaten in five games with three clean sheets to their name. They have only won away at one of the current top nine (Romford 3-0) so far this season although back on the 15th March they did come away from AFC Sudbury with a creditable 0-0 draw. Tilbury come to Enfield Town on the last day of the season. The Hawks could only draw with Great Wakering Rovers away last weekend but Rovers have since followed that result up with the 1-2 win at Grays in midweek.

Wingate and Finchley welcome a Cheshunt side who drew 2-2 last time out on the road at AFC Sudbury and beat Thamesmead Town at Theobalds Lane last weekend by a scoreline of 2-0.

AFC Sudbury are at home to Waltham Forest who make their second trip to Suffolk in a week after their 4-0 loss at Needham Market on Tuesday night.

Maldon and Tiptree are not in action and next play on the 16th April at home to Romford.

Enfield Town travel up to Wodson Park to play Ware who were well beaten 4-1 by an improved Waltham Forest side last weekend. Ex Towner Luke Marshall has recently moved to Harlow Town but there are still a few ex Town players in the Ware squad with Max Mitchell and Lee Protheroe starting the game at Waltham Forest last weekend.

Tony Faulkner will have his team well up for this local derby game as a home win will firmly put a dent into Town's play-off hopes. After ten competitive games without a win against Enfield Town the supporters making the journey up the A10 will be hoping it's not eleventh time lucky for the Hertfordshire side.
