THE OTHER BIG GAME AT WEMBLEY THIS WEEK

Forget the England v France International game on Wednesday night as there is another (some may argue more important) game occurring at Wembley tomorrow night. Wembley FC's Vale Farm, where our opponents currently ground share, plays host to the big Hendon v Enfield Town Middlesex Senior Cup game.

Gary McCann's side are having a good season and are currently in eighth position of the Ryman Premier Division only losing two of their thirteen league games. They had a fantastic run in the FA Cup reaching the first round proper where they travelled to Blue Square South Chelmsford City going down to a narrow 2-3 defeat. The only real blip (aside from their two league defeats to Kingstonian and Tooting and Mitcham United) they have had is in the FA Trophy where they were thrashed by AFC Sudbury going down 5-1 in Suffolk. Since then they have drawn 3-3 with Bury Town at home and beaten Croydon Athletic 4-1 away from home. Top scoring at present are Belal Aite-Ouakrim and Jamie Busby both on 10 league and cup goals each.

Last season's campaign in the Middlesex Senior Cup ended at the first hurdle when after a 2-2 draw and extra time at Combined Counties League Hanworth Villa they went out 5-4 on penalty kicks.

GREENSNET report that Hendon's usual pricing structure will be in place for the game being £9 for adults, £5 concessions and £1 for under 16's. A single sheet programme will be produced for the game given free with admission.

The weather forecast for tomorrow night is a little better than the chilly conditions tonight with temperatures predicted to get down to around 5c - the cold end's advice is wrap up warm if your venturing out!!

There are two league games scheduled with Grays Athletic travelling to Theobalds Lane to face Cheshunt and an interesting game at Oakside where Redbridge host Wingate and Finchley. The Motormen went in at half time with a 2-0 lead at Maldon and Tiptree on Saturday only to be pegged back by 3 second half goals from the home side.  If they can reproduce their good form from the last few weeks which has lifted them from the bottom of the table they may give W&F something to think about. A victory for the North London side will see them go top of the table by three points over Needham Market who will then have five games in hand over Dave Norman's side.

There are a host of Championship Manager games also scheduled that involve Ryman North sides as follows-

Championship Manager Cup – Second Round
Heybridge Swifts vs. Brentwood Town
Lowestoft Town vs. AFC Sudbury
Ware vs. Wealdstone

Championship Manager Cup – Third RoundHarrow Borough vs. Leyton
Maldon & Tiptree vs. East Thurrock United
Romford vs. Aveley
Thamesmead Town vs. Tonbridge Angels
Waltham Abbey vs. Potters Bar Town

COME ON TOWN!!
