ENFIELD TOWN V POTTERS BAR TOWN - THE BIG MATCH IN NORTH LONDON TONIGHT

Its the big match tonight at Goldsdown Road when Enfield Town  take on Potters Bar Town in an all important Ryman Division One (North) game where either side with a win can go level on points (probably not goal difference unless Town win by 9+ goals or The Scholars win by 15+ goals) at the top of the table.

Adam Lee's side are one of the form teams in the league winning 4 and drawing 2 of their last six league games. Elvis Balic has chipped in with eight goals in 16 league and cup games along with ex East Thurrock United player Louis Collins with four goals in 11 games. Tom Pett has also been gaining admirers with 5 goals from 12 games, one a 93rd minute stunning finish against Wealdstone in the FA Trophy which should of won the game only for the Ryman Premier side to come back and level the game in the 94th!! Balic counts Boreham Wood, Wingate and Finchley and Enfield FC 1893 amongst his former clubs. Collins has also played for Waltham Abbey as well as The Rocks. The Scholars underlined that they have a good squad this season when beating Heybridge Swifts on Saturday and also showed they never give up by coming from behind to save a point in the last six minutes when 0-2 down at home to Redbridge last Tuesday.

After a run of two unlucky defeats Steve Newing will have the lads well fired up to win this game which is the only Ryman North game of the mid-week.

I have added a 'points in the last six games' section which shows that Grays Athletic are level with Leyton and Waltham Forest in the form table having taken just two points from their last eighteen available. Heybridge Swifts and East Thurrock United are the only teams in the top 11 of the league in single figures on six and eight points respectively.

There are a number of other cup games tonight and tomorrow featuring Ryman North sides including Thamesmead Town's chance to entre the 3QR of the FA Trophy. The winner of the tie at Bayliss Avenue will play Eastleigh away in the next round. In the London Senior Cup there is an East London Derby between Redbridge and Leyton at Oakside.

W&F entertain SSMFL side Kingsbury London Tigers in what should be a decent match as both teams like to play a passing game of football.  In the pick of the Essex Senior Cup ties Ilford travel to Blue Square South table toppers Braintree Town.
