WODSON PARK GO GOAL CRAZY!!

A quite incredible result occurred in the Spartan South Midlands League Division One last night where the 48 people in attendance witnessed Wodson Park scoring an amazing 18 (yes...eighteen) goals against Sport London E Benfica's 1.

The game kicked off late with SLEB apparently only having a handful of players at the ground at 7.45pm. Kick off was eventually at 8.20pm with SLEB starting with 10 men. Wodson went 1-0 up but SLEB equalised to make it 1-1. That was unfortunately the high point for the men from Coles Park as the half finished 5-1 to Wodson. In the second half the Hertfordshire side ran in an incredible 13 goals to make the final score 18-1. SLEB had two men sent off in the second period.

Sport London E Benfica are not having the best of seasons having already amassed a goal difference of -66 over their 14 league games. There has been one positive result being a 2-0 win against Amersham Town on the 18th of September.

Wodson Park played the bottom side in the Division One cup just a few weeks ago at Coles Park and come away with a seven goals to nil victory.
