MATCH OF THE MIDWEEK - GRAYS ATHLETIC COME TO GOLDSDOWN ROAD

Grays Athletic vist the Brimabeu in what has to be billed as the Ryman North game of the midweek this Tuesday night.

After all the upheaval in the Summer Julian Dick's side has made a good start to the season in wining 4 drawing 1 and losing 1. Prior to Saturday's 3-3 draw at AFC Sudbury they had only let in 3 goals in their first five games which indicates they will be strong in defence. They have also beaten Zamaretto Premier Windsor and Eton to progress in the FA Cup to face Ryman Premier Bury Town next weekend. Their only loss came on the opening day of the season in a 0-1 defeat against Harlow Town at Rookery Hill.

The Essex side have an impressive young squad combined with the vast experience (you can't buy it and you can't beat it) of Marvin Samuel in midfield - they are sure to there or thereabouts at the top of the league come the business end of the season.

MIDWEEK RYMAN NORTH FIXTURES -
TUESDAY
AFC Sudbury v Brentwood Town

Great Wakering Rovers v Romford
Harlow Town v Maldon & Tiptree
Heybridge Swifts v Thamesmead Town

The season so far has left one team in East Thurrock United being unbeaten and a trio of East London sides in Ilford, Redbridge and Waltham Forest propping up the table without a win. Leyton, The other side from the area, have only one win to their name which was against Waltham Forest.

Will one of the teams without a win gain a victory this midweek?? Redbridge will be massive underdogs against visiting second placed Needham Market, Ilford travel to Ware who are themselves struggling but they have played twice at home recording a 1-0 win against Tilbury and a creditable 0-0 draw against Wingate and Finchley. Waltham Forest face Potters Bar Town at Cricklefields on Wednesday night have probably the best chance of win for the bottom sides.

Two other games of note are 3rd placed Heybridge Swifts entertaining Thamesmead Town and Harlow Town (6th) facing Maldon and Tiptree.

In Town's game bwin.com rate an away win at 17/10 with a draw at 5/2 and a home win at 11/10.

The huge odds just over 35/1 for an East London treble of Ilford, Redbridge and Waltham Forest suggest the bookies know what their talking about. A top three treble of East Thurrock United, Needham Market and Heybridge Swifts pays a shade over 3/1.

Some facts and figures about the season so far -

Highest scorers - Needham Market (17)
Lowest scorers - Redbridge (2)
