THE DONKEY-DOME - FOOTBALL'S COMING HOME

Enfield Town FC hosted an open day this morning at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium to show supporters how the building work and plans on the new stadium redevelopment is coming along.

Here are some images on what the ground looks like at present:




The above three photo's show the red running track and old pitch have been removed with the foundations for a new six lane track along with stands, terracing and what looks to be a a very impressive pitch taking shape.


There is still along way to go but very soon football will come home to Enfield.

The view back across the playing fields towards Southbury Road. The newly developed QE Stadium will a stone's throw from the spiritual home of the now defunct Enfield FC.
