THE RACE FOR THE PLAY-OFFS

After last night's all important 2-3 victory at Romford the play-off race is looking very healthy indeed for the Town. Here is the league table as it stands at present:

RYMAN DIVISION ONE (NORTH) TABLE

KEY -
P - PLAYED
GD - GOAL DIF
PTS - POINTS
LS - GAMES WON IN LAST SIX
PP - POSSIBLE POINTS TOTAL

P GD PTS LS PP NEXT THREE GAMES
LOWESTOFT TOWN 34 63 82 4 106 ILFORD (A) BRENTWOOD (A) REDBRIDGE (H)
-------------------------------------
CONCORD RANGERS 36 45 77 3 96 ETU (A) W&F (A) ETU (H)
EAST THURROCK UNITED 35 41 68 6 89 RED (A) CONCORD (H) THAMESMEAD (H)
ENFIELD TOWN 35 28 68 4 89 TILBURY (A) MALDON (H) HARLOW (A)
WINGATE&FINCHLEY 35 27 65 4 86 WALTHAM FOREST (A) THAMESMEAD (A) CONCORD (H)
-------------------------------------
THAMESMEAD TOWN 36 9 60 1 78 W&F (H) ETU (A) WALTHAM FOREST (H)
VCD ATHLETIC 46 2 55 3 73 NORTHWOOD (H) ILFORD (A) LEYTON (A)

The table topping Trawlerboys can now only be "theoretically" caught by the teams from Wingate and Finchley and above. The title is in their own hands, the cold end forecasts that by the time we visit Crown Meadow on the 13th April they may well be Champions. With 2nd placed Concord Rangers due to play current 3rd placed East Thurrock United twice in the next few weeks both clubs could take points off each other. I think 9/10 more points from the last 21 on offer will secure a place in the top 5 for Enfield Town. It's been a superb season, let's hope it's extended by one and hopefully two more games. All Steve, Del and the team will want to do is keep in the winning habit and finish as high as possible in the table and with a little bit of luck along the way we'll make it!!
