BACK ON FORM BRENTWOOD TOWN VISIT GOLDSDOWN ROAD

Fourteenth placed Brentwood Town visit Goldsdown Road on Tuesday night in another eagerly anticipated Ryman Divison One (North) game. The blues's form dipped over the cold snap, after going eight games unbeaten they went seven games without a win but in their past two games they have had a very impressive 2-0 home win against East Thurrock United last midweek (completing the double over their Essex rivals) and a 1-2 win at Potters Bar Town on Saturday. Their win at the South Mimms Travel Stadium was their fifth victory on the road out of thirteen games; They have also won at East Thurrock United, Harlow Town, Maldon Town and Leyton.

Ex AFC Hornchurch forward Kris Lee scored his fourth goal in 9 starts on Saturday and looks to be their danger man up front. The blue's also include ex Aveley defender Reiss Noel, ex Maldon Town and Great Wakering Rovers midfielder Ross Parmenter within their ranks.

bwin.com rate Town as favourites at 9/20, the draw at 3/1 and a Brentwood Town away win at 17/4.

Rangers have a chance of getting six points whilst Protheroe signs up to the Hawks great escape plan

Concord Rangers have a chance to cement their play-off credentials with two games this midweek. They visit Cricklefield's tonight to play eighteenth placed Ilford who haven't won in 9 games and then welcome topsy-turvy Waltham Forest to Thames Road. The Stags have played 3 away games against the current top nine and have a record of 3 loses conceding 11 goals and scoring just 3.

Wingate and Finchley, following their 2-1 win at Heybridge Swifts on Saturday, will be in a confident mood on their trip to Theobalds Lane to play Cheshunt. The Ambers have run into form of late with 3 wins in 4 games but have a terrible record against teams in the current top 9. They have played 10 games with 1o defeats. W&F need to win to keep the pressure on the team's above them so I think they will just shade this one or possibly come away with a share of the spoils in a score draw.

At the bottom of the table it now appears to be between two of three clubs who are doomed to be relegated with Harlow Town cast adrift at the bottom of the table. Redbridge and Leyton are the other two clubs fighting for survival. Leyton, winless at home, entertain Thamesmead Town in what should be an easy victory for the South London side whilst Redbridge visit Romford who were unlucky to be undone by two late goals from Tilbury after being 1-0 up on Saturday.

The Hawks face Maldon Town at Barrows Farm in a game I think they will win. The struggling club had some good news last week with the announcement of new owner's when Platinum Sports Management took over the running of the club, they have included ex Hawks manager Tommy Cunningham on the new board of directors.

A raft of new signings have been made by boss Marvin Samuels. A player well known by Towners in ex Enfield FC defender Lee Protheroe has joined after leaving Blue Square South Welling United earlier in the season. Ex Chelmsford City and Canvey Island forward Spencer Kinght has signed along with centre back Danny Chapman. Another ex Hawks player in forward Wayne Cort was a spectator on Saturday and is expected to sign up this week. Maldon Town have hit form of late and gained a good draw at Northwood on Saturday but with the takeover giving a positive outlook for Harlow despite their bottom of the table status I think they will win this one.

Mid table club's Potters Bar Town and Tilbury face off at The South Mimms Travel Stadium whilst the two remaining games will have an effect of the play-off places when VCD Athletic welcome Northwood to Oakwood and Ware play East Thurrock United at Wodson Park.
