It was a feast of goals tonight on a freshly cut Brimsdown pitch. Town looked in control from the start against an Urchins team featuring ex town players Jason Willis and Gazmend Dauti. Ross Edwards put us 1-0 with a looping header from just inside the box following a corner at the cold end. Town continued to pass the ball well with Stuart Blackburne looking good up front and the Edwards/Wild centre back partnership looking good for the start of the season.

Stuart got a deserved goal to make it 2-0 on 40 minutes with a nice composed finish after rounding the goalkeeper.

HALF TIME 2-0

A raft of substitutions were made by Town just into the 2nd Half. AFC came back into the match and scored the best goal of the night with a lovely finish from the right of the box. They made it 2-2 after a defensive mix up (get them out the way whilst it doesn't matter lads) where the Urchin player tapped into the open net.

Sammy Winston and Adam 'guns' Wallace were now up front for the Town and both showed some useful touches. Town's winner was scored by Richard Morton who shot from the edge of the box past Jason Willis after Sammy showed some good skill. Sammy was unlucky not to score late on with a audacious lob from the right hand side of the box which finished scrapping the bar into the top netting.

FINAL SCORE - 3-2

*Overall another good performance from the Town and it looks as if Steve Newing and Del Deanus are shaping together a team that will hopefully be up in the top half of the league challenging.
